Camaiore offers not only beaches and sea, but also the opportunity to discover the Apuan Alps. Places of artistic and historical value include the Roman Collegiate Church, dating back to 1278, the bell tower built in 1365 and XIIth century church of San Michele, which was rebuilt after being destroyed during the war in 1944 . another place to visit is the Museum of sacred Art, which boasts a collection of Flemish and Tuscan relics dating back to the 15th century. Just outside the historic center is the Badia di San Pietro, a Romanesque church built in the year 1000 over the remains of a Benedictine monastery in the 8th century.
