Grasse, the world capital of perfume is ideally situated between the sea and the mountains. It is 2 km from the hilltop village of Cabris and 15 km from the beaches and Cannes. Grasse is situated on the steep foothills of the Alps of Provence, 350 meters above sea level. This little corner of Provence in the colors of the South dominated by vast plains fragrant roses, jasmine and olive trees, which the city gets its reputation.
Known as the historic capital of perfumery, it is also a medieval city, founded in the seventh century, that surprises with its mixture sponge cake and Provencal architecture with houses facades restored seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, squares, arcades , narrow winding streets, crossings and steep gradients.

- The Feast of jasmine in August is the feast of the year. The city is awash with flowers this occasion. In the streets, the public is sprinkled with water jasmine. In the gardens of Princess Pauline, sister of Napoleon I, a Provencal meal is served to all who wish to join this traditional folk festival.
